About the event
The annual Broome White Ribbon Day Gala is a highlight of Broome’s social calendar and a fantastic night out to support a safer community!
Long after the racing season is over and the frocks and fascinators have been put away, Broome locals and visitors from afar get dressed up on a balmy November evening to mingle, dance, bid on a huge range of donated auction items and enjoy a delicious three course meal catered by Cable Beach Club Resort & Spa.
Funds raised are donated to local frontline services, Marnja Jarndu Women's Refuge and Men's Outreach Service; and a portion of the funds are also donated to the national White Ribbon campaign, which focuses on primary prevention and education. This event supports men, women and children who have experienced family violence and over 8 years we have raised well over $100,000.
This event is organised and supported by the Rotary Club of Broome, Legal Aid WA and is a part of the Broome Mango Festival (hosted by the Lions Club of Broome). This sell-out, fundraising success is only possible thanks to the generosity of local businesses and individuals who donate goods and services and we thank all of our sponsors for supporting a safer community.
